Hope

I hope you find mostly in life, the solitude of love; a life of never-ending adventures, a mind that talks more than your heart with a mouth that talks about your soul in the most fondest poetry,

I hope you find your soul and a soul that matches your heart and makes you feel always like an April in Paris underneath a cloudy, starlit moon.

I hope you find someone that makes you feel like jacarandas in Georgia with blue skies underneath the red, white and blue skies while you’re on some faraway sand.

I hope you find someone who looks at you underneath Sakura blossoms and treats you carefully like a desert rose.

I hope you find someone who loves you deeper than the depths of the trench and comes back to you like the current that crashes against a windy shore.

I hope someone sends you postcards with the words “I love you,” “Merry Christmas,” and “Happy New Year’s Day” on it for every year that you are gone because sometimes words cannot express the aching pain of the heart that wants to be with you.

I hope there never comes a day when you don’t come home for Christmas where someone with mistletoe doesn’t kiss you because when they do and you experience your first kiss that you explode in heady ecstasy for time is like a clock of the heart.

One second, two seconds, three.

And then I wake up to find that you were home all along….

In my heart.

While you’re out there being my soldier. Serving your country overseas or in some faraway land.

I’ll save myself because sweetheart, I’ve always had a crush on you. And I’ve always loved you, and o’ how my heart yearns to see you again love.
