The Water and The Air

I can only hold you like the wind blowing through your jet-black hair, and hold you like the ocean holds your body in synchronization with the flow of the tide itself. But it feels like I can only hold you in my eyes for a second of a minute because those months didn’t last as long as I’ve wished. I can only hold you for so long, so long as my eyes get weary, the pang in my heart skipping within every beat, in the jealousy of the elements surrounding you; holding you; caressing you in such little time. Although I may never see you again I still will hold you in my heart. He kissed me with cigarette breath…. And even after I had thought I had taken away the taste, it still lingered on in disagreement. He drives me nuts, crazy, bonkers. He drives me crazy and when my mind goes off the top he makes me want to breathe.
